Digitizing from A - Z
Half-Day seminar - Afternoon

Cost  $125.00 Pre-registered ONLY

       Audience: Digitizers/Embroiderers

Are you new to digitizing or want to perfect your skills? This 4 hour extended seminar covers everything from the basics to the meat and potatoes of digitizing. We will start by discussing the three basic digitizing techniques: Automatic, semi-automatic and manual. You'll know the strengths and weaknesses of each and when each technique is appropriate. We'll move on to stitch properties and how to use them to maximize your arsenal of digitizing tools.

Then it will be time to move on to some intermediate techniques. We'll look at blending thread colors, both automatically and manually. You'll learn to add pizzazz to your designs by working with, and creating custom fill stitch patterns. Of course, most designs require some form of text, and that does not always require that you digitize each letter. We'll explore working with True Type as well as keyboard lettering. Of course, your designs can't look their best if the fabric has issues of it's own, so well look at problem fabrics and how to compensate for their challenges.

What skills you will take home:

  • An understanding of your digitizing options.
  • Digitizing skills that you can incorporate into business.
  • Time saving alternatives to your current digitizing style.
  • When autodigitizing and automatic functions are not appropriate.
  • How to customize your digitizing software to match your needs.
