Attendee Requirements
By legal definition, DAX is an industry trade show and is not open to the public. This means we reserve the right to refuse or restrict admission to any individual without cause. Here are some requirements for everyone who attends our shows:
- All attendees must register for the event, either in advance or on-site. No one will be admitted without a show-issued ID badge.
- Attendees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor appropriate to a business environment. Disruptive behavior will result in removal from the event.
- Minors must be under direct adult supervision at all times (see the full minors policy below).
- Non-exhibiting suppliers are welcome to attend and experience the quality of our show. Unlike other organizations that charge non-exhibiting suppliers a premium, we do not impose such fees. We encourage you to share your feedback with show management.
- Attendees are prohibited from selling products on the show floor. Additionally, distributing literature outside of your own exhibit booth is not allowed.
Attendee Disclaimer: Please be aware that running machinery and other potential hazards typical of industry events will be present. Individuals who may not fully understand the associated safety risks should not attend. The Decorated Apparel Expo, its hosts, suppliers, employees, landlords, and assigns accept no responsibility for injuries, losses, or theft incurred during the event. By attending, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Privacy
DAX is an industry trade show designed to connect professionals with suppliers, so sharing some attendee contact information with exhibitors is part of the experience. Please note that when you allow an exhibitor to scan the barcode on your badge, you are sharing your name, company name, address, phone number, and email address with them. However, DAX does not collect or distribute any financial information. If you register on this website using a credit card, rest assured that your payment information is securely processed through our payment system.
Who May Exhibit At DAX?
We invite manufacturers and distributors of products and services relevant to garment decorating professionals to exhibit at DAX. If your offerings cater to the decorated apparel industry, exhibiting at our event is an unparalleled opportunity to connect with potential clients. However, we discourage applications from companies unrelated to this field, such as those offering entertainment, political services, or general consumer goods. Additionally, due to venue agreements, the sale of food products not provided by the venue's catering team is strictly prohibited. Management reserves the right to decline any exhibitor application at its discretion, without the need to provide a reason.
Minor Policy
The embroidery and screen printing industries are unique in that many companies are family-run. As minors often participate in these businesses alongside their parents, we believe it would be counterproductive to exclude them from industry trade shows.
We welcome minors to experience the exhibit floor and seminars. However, anyone under the age of 18 must be directly supervised by an adult at all times. All attendees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor while on the exhibit floor. Disruptive individuals or unsupervised minors will be asked to leave both the exhibit floor and seminar rooms.
While some attendees may bring infants or toddlers, please be aware that the trade floor contains operating machinery, which can pose safety risks. Small children may not fully understand these dangers, so strollers are recommended for younger children.
All attendees, except infants or children in strollers, must wear show-issued identification badges. If you plan to bring a minor, please pre-register them when you register yourself to ensure they receive a free name badge. If registering on-site, one child under the age of 10 may receive a complimentary "guest" badge when accompanied by a registered adult.
Seminar Attendance: Our policy allows one child under the age of 12 to attend seminars with a parent without a ticket, provided the parent has no other childcare options. In such cases, the parent is responsible for ensuring that the child does not cause any disruption during the seminar. Children over 12 must be registered, as they are considered old enough to benefit from the seminar. If your child becomes disruptive during the seminar, we kindly ask that you step out of the room with them, but feel free to return once they are calm. Any disruptive attendees will be asked to leave the seminar room.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for your interest in the Decorated Apparel Expo. If you have pre-registered for free access to the trade floor but are unable to attend, there's no need to notify us. We do not track attendance or penalize those who cannot attend. However, if you registered after the pre-registration period and paid a registration fee, please note that this fee is non-refundable.
Our educational sessions are also non-refundable. Once you reserve a seminar or workshop, your seat is secured, reducing our available inventory, and it cannot be resold. Additionally, sessions that include meals require us to provide a final meal count to the catering team in advance. For these reasons, all educational session purchases are final, with no refunds.
